I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal and grow. In my therapeutic perspective, family relationships are the people we turn to first for security, comfort, and learning. When those secure relationships are threatened by conflict, difficult emotions, mental health challenges, or other issues, it ripples into all areas of our lives.
One of my specialty areas is couples therapy. When working with couples in distress, I use research-based approaches to couple's work such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman techniques, and more. I work to promote joint understanding for each partner and coach couples on how to change their relationship so both partners can heal and move on together into a newer, healthier relationship. I tailor my work to meet the specific needs of all my clients, whether individually, as a couple, or a family, and may also use creative approaches if it best meets the needs of the clients.
I received my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University in 2013, and since then I have worked in a family counseling center as well as a University counseling center working with college students. I am a licensed associate marriage and family therapist, so I practice under clinical supervisors as I establish myself in the Tucson counseling community. I love sharing my experience and expertise in working with couples, families, and individuals, and look forward to working with you!
