Throughout my life, I have felt most alive when holding space for the stories of others. The stories of our lives, both joyful and painful, have shaped who we are and how we show up in the world. The love of human stories led me to complete a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University and spend time as a chaplain specializing in pediatric trauma. Through these experiences, I learned to listen deeply for the quiet sparks of hope and healing, even in the midst of immense pain and tragedy. Wanting to do more, I returned to Wake Forest to pursue a Master of Arts in counseling and have since sought specialized training in trauma and eating disorders.
I have worked with children, adolescents, families and adults at various points in their stories, including residential and outpatient levels of care. I specialize in healing from trauma - including developmental, abusive and other complex traumatic experiences - as well as depression and anxiety. Eating Disorders and trauma often go hand-in-hand, and I utilize various approaches to support recovery from both simultaneously. To support my clients best, I am currently receiving supervision to become a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. I orient toward weight-neutral and intuitive philosophies to move toward recovery. This means I will help you listen to your own deepest wisdom to reconnect to yourself and find healing without judgment.
As a licensed professional counselor, I have training to support various walks of life as you seek healing. I am relationally-oriented and strengths-based, trusting that your embodied self can pursue healing with the right supports. I look forward to partnering with you to hold space for your story, to uncover your voice and to help you heal.
I see clients at both the Civano and Kolb offices and am currently accepting clients ages 15 and up. Want to learn more? Let's connect!
