I work with children, adolescents and young adults, ages 5-20, who are learning how to navigate big feelings, life changes and the stress that comes with growing up. Many of the kids and teens I support experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, self-harm, grief and trauma, or are neurodivergent. I also work closely with families facing transitions such as divorce or separation, foster care, incarceration of a caregiver, new siblings, deployment, or loss.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent six years as a school counselor, working with students from elementary through high school. During that time, I saw firsthand how much support kids and families need beyond the school day. My decision to move into full-time therapy came from the desire to bridge the gap between school-based counseling and outpatient therapy, and to support children, adolescents, and families in more intentional and meaningful ways. Continuing and expanding this work beyond the school setting allows me to be more deeply involved in each client’s growth and healing.

I hold a Masters of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling, and am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strength-based. I view each client as a whole person and believe that meaningful healing happens from the inside out, building on existing strengths to help clients recognize their own capacity for reclaiming well-being.  I use a blend of CBT, play-based strategies, humor, storytelling, psychoeducation and hand-on skill building to help clients better understand themselves and develop tools they can use in their daily life. Sessions are structured yet flexible, with a focus on building skills to support growth at home, at schools, and in relationships.

I believe our experiences and beliefs shape how we see ourselves and the world. My goal is to meet clients where they are, honor their unique stories, and support them in their own healing journey. I strive to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and free from judgment, where clients of all backgrounds, especially LGBTQ+ youth and individuals from marginalized communities feel safe and understood. Advocacy is an important part of my work, and I believe that supporting a child often means supporting the entire family system.

When I am not in the therapy room, you can usually find me running or hiking, playing board games, or spending time with family and friends.
