My approach is patient-forward and tailored specifically for you. We will move at a pace that is restorative, respectful, and compassionate. Treatments employ different acupuncture, moxibustion, and manual techniques such as cupping to address your condition, working to heal the root cause and bring the body back to natural balance. I offer electroacupuncture when appropriate, sending low frequency electricity signals to regulate the nervous system and increase pain relief. Tui na massage furthers this approach, directing the flow of energy with pressure, kneading, and stretching at acupoints and channels. Tui na is different from other forms of massage; it is focused on treating specific pain or stress conditions by targeting areas of tension to restore balance and well-being. Wellness was not discussed in my family, and years of ignoring my mental and physical health led to my own healing journey. Hope came from alternative therapies and redirected my trajectory. Acupuncture was integral to this wave of momentum and led me to earn my Doctorate of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Pacific College of Health and Sciences in San Diego. I have since been dedicated to helping others find a footing in their health in order to thrive.

I am excited to serve the people of Tucson; if you think we would be a good fit, book an appointment or a consultation and we can start working together towards healing.

Chinese Medical Massage Therapy Supports

Anxiety: Massage therapy offers a soothing remedy for anxiety, providing a serene environment that fosters relaxation. The gentle, rhythmic touch helps lower cortisol levels, a stress hormone, and increases serotonin and dopamine levels, promoting a sense of calm and well-being. This therapeutic approach can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety by easing tension, improving sleep, and enhancing overall mood.

Digestive Disorders: Medical massage can be a complementary treatment for various digestive issues. By applying techniques in Tui Na that increase abdominal circulation and relax abdominal muscles, massage can alleviate symptoms like bloating, constipation, and abdominal spasms. It also helps in stress reduction, which is often a contributing factor to digestive problems.

Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia sufferers can benefit from massage therapy, which addresses the chronic pain and stiffness associated with the condition. Regular Tui Na massage sessions can lead to improvements in sleep, reduced pain points, and enhanced circulation, providing relief and improving the quality of life for those with fibromyalgia.

Insomnia Related to Stress: Massage therapy can be an effective treatment for stress-related insomnia. By promoting relaxation and reducing stress hormones, massage helps to regulate sleep patterns, leading to more restful and uninterrupted sleep.

Low Back Pain: Low back pain, a common ailment, can be effectively managed with Chinese medical massage therapy. Techniques that target the lower back muscles can reduce pain, increase mobility, and improve spinal alignment, offering a non-invasive solution to chronic back pain.

Myofascial Pain Syndrome: Tui Na massage therapy can be particularly beneficial for those with myofascial pain syndrome, focusing on releasing tension in the myofascial tissues. This helps alleviate pain and restore motion by easing the tightness in the trigger points.

Nerve Pain: For those experiencing nerve pain, medical massage can provide relief by reducing inflammation and pressure on nerves. Carefully applied techniques can enhance circulation and reduce muscle spasms that might be contributing to nerve pain.

Soft Tissue Strains or Injuries: Massage therapy is a valuable tool in treating soft tissue strains or injuries. By enhancing blood flow to the affected area, massage accelerates the healing process, reduces inflammation, and alleviates pain.

Headaches: For those experiencing tension headaches or migraines, Tui Na medical massage therapy can be a powerful tool. By focusing on the head, neck, and shoulders, massage can alleviate muscle tension and improve blood flow, reducing headache frequency and intensity.

Sports Injuries: Athletes with sports injuries can find relief and quicker recovery through medical massage therapy. Tailored to specific sports-related injuries, massage can reduce recovery time, prevent stiffness, and improve flexibility.

Temporomandibular Joint Pain: TMJ disorders can cause significant discomfort, and massage therapy can offer relief. Techniques focusing on the jaw and related muscles can reduce joint pain, ease muscle tension, and improve jaw movement.

Upper Back and Neck Pain: Massage therapy effectively addresses upper back and neck pain, common in individuals with sedentary lifestyles or those who perform repetitive tasks. By targeting the muscles in these areas, massage can reduce tension, alleviate pain, and improve posture.

  • "My uncle owns a Tai massage studio in San Diego and was number 1 a couple years in a row. He and his team worked on a lot of body builders before competitions and Andres is the first person in Tucson to ever compare to that work. If you really want specific work done with the right amount of pressure to release tension, book Andres"
