Angel Navarro (he/him/his)
LAC
I am a compassionate and empathetic therapist who believes healing is most effective when it is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in respect. I am a proud member of the Tohono O’odham Nation and part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I bring both professional training and lived experience, including my own recovery, into the therapeutic space. I work from a strengths-based perspective, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Person Centered to support clients in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
I have extensive experience working with individuals who have a history of domestic violence involvement and understand the complexities of accountability, growth, and healing. I hold degrees in Literacy Innovation (Bachelor of Science), a Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, as well as a Masters in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arizona.
Outside of my work, I enjoy staying active through fitness, exploring new food spots, and spending time with my family, especially my partner and our four cats. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered in their journey.
