Why online therapy works

Getting started is simple

  • A woman with curly red hair, glasses, and a red dress sitting on a gray sofa with a black and white dog next to her. She is working on a pink laptop, smiling, with a bookshelf and a large green succulent artwork on the wall behind her.

Set up a session online or by phone

  • Top-down view of a person with glasses sitting at a desk, with hands clasped on the head, surrounded by a laptop, mouse, headset, and film clapperboard.

Receive a secure video link from your therapist

FAQ

  • Yes! Research shows online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions, and many clients appreciate the convenience and flexibility. Additionally, many couples and families find that meeting online actually makes therapy easier to attend because everyone can log in from wherever they are. As long as participants have a private space and a device with internet, therapy can be just as meaningful as in-person sessions.

  • No, you’ll simply click a secure link we provide — no downloads required. Your privacy is always protected through a HIPPA-compliant platform.

  • You can switch to in-person sessions at any time at our Tucson office. Many of our therapists offer both online and in person sessions if you decide that you want to switch.

  • More information about insurance and sliding scale options here.

  • Our therapists are licensed in Arizona, which means we can only see clients who are physically located within the state during sessions. If you’re traveling or living in another state, we won’t be able to provide therapy at that time. However, if you’re anywhere within Arizona — whether you’re in Tucson, Phoenix, or a rural community — you can access our care online.

  • Technology isn’t perfect, and sometimes connections cut out. If your internet drops, your therapist will try to reconnect with you right away. If it can’t be fixed in the moment, your therapist will work with you to reschedule or finish the session at another time — without additional charges. We want the process to feel as stress-free as possible.

  • Yes. Once you’re matched with a therapist, you’ll continue working with them on a regular basis. Building a consistent relationship is a core part of therapy, and we believe you’ll make the most progress when you have someone you know and trust walking alongside you.

  • Payments for online therapy work just like in-person sessions. If you’re using insurance, we’ll help you verify your coverage ahead of time so there are no surprises. If you’re paying privately, you can make secure payments through our online portal. Our goal is to keep the process simple, so you can focus on your healing instead of worrying about logistics.

  • We do our best to make sure you can begin therapy quickly. In most cases, we can schedule your first online session within a week. If you have specific availability needs, let us know — we’ll do everything we can to match you with a therapist who can see you soon.
